Abstract

This paper analyzes the results and benefits achieved from modernizing Municipal Library Apiaí (SP) "Prof. Yolanda Bonow Leme" after her marriage to Community Telecentre. By exploring this junction to holdings in government programs, there are advancements that is to encourage reading and computerize the region. Currently, much information being generated at every moment, access to information and internet technologies becomes important update tool, while the books are being gradually pushed aside even shown a strong demand for knowledge can be used any time without requiring specific equipment. In view of this, governments have been keen to provide libraries with free internet access points so that the environment has current information and digital inclusion boost the spread of the habit of reading. In the municipality of Apiaí (SP) this integration proves enriching, enabling new media and information to the population. To achieve the goals literature searches were performed with authors like Idoeta; Bernardino, Suaiden, Antunes, Cavalcanti, Antunes; Machado; Rowley and Shera. To enhance the work and assist in the formulation of the questionnaire used in the field research was carried out a brief study on the proposed projects on the official websites of the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Communications and Ministry of Social Development and Fight Against Hunger theme.
