Aspectos da pós-modernidade em Barba ensopada de sangue

Abstract

The present work approaches the concepts of post-modernity and contemporaneity in the novel Barba ensopada de sangue, by Daniel Galera. According to Bauman (2001), a current society is experiencing a liquid modernity, in which it relates to people and the environment based on fluidity. It is possible to observe in any novel by Daniel Galera some aspects of contemporaneity, such as the brevity of the dialogues, an intense description of the elements, the fluidity of relationships, the use of slang and social networks, etc. From the analysis of the novel, it is possible to prove Zygmunt Bauman’s hypothesis that contemporaneity lives in an era in which relations with people and with the environment are fluid and liquid, without the establishment of solid bonds.
