Abstract

The current industry context demands continuous process improvement, which can be pursued through various methodologies and tools, usually integrated into a management model, such as WCM (World Class Manufacturing). At WCM, the Focused Improvement Pillar is responsible for knowing and driving the right methodology for each type of loss or opportunity. The company focus of this work seeks to expand the continuous improvement culture through the Kaizens projects and methodologies for analysis and problem solving for all sectors of the organization. To enable this, it is necessary to study and define methodologies to be applied to processes and problems of different complexities. This work sought to understand the benefits of applying a complete methodology of analysis and problem solving, as QC Story and other methodologies applied in WCM. As a result, it was obtained the definition of a procedure and a form for application to medium complexity problems of different natures, thus helping the company in the expansion of the use of problem solving methodologies.
