Abstract: The present work aims to analyze the efficiency in the electric energy's generation from a ergometric bicycle driven by human action. Based on previous studies that show the possibility of generating energy from pedal movement on bicycles with coupled generators, it was sought to analyze the relation between the mechanical energy applied in a load cell installed in each pedal and the generated energy from the movement of the pedal on bicycles with coupled generators, it was sought to analyze the relationship between the mechanical energy applied in a load cell installed on each pedal and the electric energy generated in the terminals of a permanent magnet AC generator. The connection between the generator and the pedals occurred through pulleys and belts, and the generated energy was transferred to a resistive load. It was necessary to develop an amplifier circuit, using the LM 741 IC, for the data collection of the load cell, and the use of 2 transducers for the data collection of the resistive load. Every data collected was sent to an interface and later processed in LabVIEW software and an Excel spreadsheet. Through the measurements performed, it was verified that the yield of this process of energy transfer is significant and feasible to be implemented in practical situations of daily life, but there are still improvements that can be made to the system, such as changing the generator, better fixing, replacing the rectifier, and others.
