Estudo da programação linear e aplicação do problema combinado em uma indústria moveleira

Abstract

With the technology intensification at twenty first century on the world stage, as well as the visible Brazilian industrial park increasing, the qualified professional participation is essential for the development of scientific and technological projects which are demanded by companies. Due to the economic aspects and computational advances, companies have been motivated to make their productions processes more efficient and competitive, what stimulates the study of optimization models for the controlling and planning of productive systems. This work approaches the study of operational research methods, especially of Linear Programming, with the aim of to solve real problems of making decisions, for the production programming of a small manufacturing. The problem is modeled using the Combined Problem, which couples two optimization problems: lot sizing and stock cutting. From the Simplex algorithm, is it possible to obtain solutions of the linear programming problems presented, which can help in making decisions about the minimization of production costs, lot sizing and stock cutting.
