Abstract

The present work had as objective the elaboration of a retroffiting project in a manual press for the manufacture of pies, and added steps to automate the process as a whole through the application of pneumatic elements. Currently, the process of stamping and molding the dough is carried out by an operator who must manually perform the press movement and apply a force on the dough to be molded, due to this, there is a recurrence of occupations diseases by repetitive efforts. Thus, the opportunity to carry out a study to adapt the process was evidenced, thereby improving the working conditions and health of the operators. Another aggravating factor in the manual process is the difference in the final shape of the molded pies and the slowness of the process. Having evidenced these facts, this work was developed looking for a device that would reduce the operator's exposure to risk and add quality, standardization and efficiency to the process.
