| Resumo: | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo utilizar-se da literatura e da história para realizar a leitura de duas cidades de Curitiba distintas – a cidade promovida pelas campanhas governamentais e publicitárias, conhecida como Cidade Modelo; e a cidade cantada por escritores locais, vinculada em contos, crônicas, textos e entrevistas. Para tal, far-se-á uso da história da cidade, mais especificamente a partir do momento em que ela deixa de ser uma província e começa a traçar sua imagem atual e dos anos compreendidos na gestão de Jaime Lerner. Também serão de extrema importância alguns dos autores locais, como Dalton Trevisan, Jamil Snege, Cristovão Tezza e Paulo Leminski, para contrastar com a imagem política da cidade. Vale ressaltar que a análise das obras destes autores não é o foco deste trabalho, sendo que seus textos serão utilizados para ilustrar e exemplificar uma Curitiba que não a Capital de Primeiro Mundo. Espera-se, com esta pesquisa, compreender os caminhos que levaram à atual imagem da cidade, e os percorridos pelos escritores abordados, procurando perceber suas diferenças e semelhanças. Almeja-se também conhecer as duas faces da cidade e contrastá-las, desmistificando o mito que a cerca e revelando a cidade que é conhecida dos curitibanos, pessoas que a vivenciam diariamente, com suas mazelas e belezas. |
| Abstract: | This paper aims to make use of both literature and history for examining the two different cities of Curitiba - the city promoted by the government and advertising campaigns, known as a Model City, and the city sung by local writers, linked in stories, chronicles, texts and interviews. For that to be possible, part of the history of the city will be analysed, more specifically from the moment that it begins to change its aspects from a province to its current characteristics, as well as the years in the management of Jaime Lerner. Some of the local authors like Dalton Trevisan, Jamil Snege, Cristovão Tezza and Paulo Leminski will be extremely important to contrast with the political image of the city. It is noteworthy that the analysis of the works of these authors is not the focus of this paper, and their texts will be used to illustrate and exemplify the city of Curitiba which differs from the Capital of a Developed Country. This research hopes to understand the paths that led the city to its current image and also the course of the mentioned writers, seeking to recognize their differences and similarities. Additionally, the two sides of the city will be compared and contrasted, debunking the myth that surrounds it and revealing the city of Curitiba which is known by its citizens, who experience it daily with its flaws and beauty. |
