Análise qualitativa e quantitativa dos espaços confinados utilizados com maior frequência em uma usina termelétrica

Abstract

The research covered a case study, in which data collected by the company were analyzed on the initial measurement of concentrations of oxygen, hydrogen sulfide and explosiveness in the most frequently used confined spaces. From these data, an analysis was made to verify if the values met the recommendations of the health and safety standards. Since confined space is a difficult to reach place, with insufficient ventilation and atmospheres that may contain some contaminant, it is important to carry out initial atmospheric tests and, if there is any divergence of values, it is important to implement secure access. These spaces are often found mainly in industries of the most diverse activities, presenting general and specific risks, of various types, always being possible to identify them, requiring a series of personal, technical and prevention measures, aiming at a way of working more adequate and safe. In this sense, the field of job security makes this knowledge possible for people.
