Condomínios residenciais de Cascavel-PR que fazem a segregação de seus resíduos

Abstract

Due to the seriousness of environmental issues relating to the generation of waste, discussion of their solutions is gaining prominence in the media and society today. It emphasizes the importance of inform and educat the population in order to avoid waste and encourage recycling of products, offering an alternative to the economic use of many families that take the sustaining recycling. Thus the aim of this study was to conduct a quantitative survey of residential condominiums in the city of Cascavel, Paraná, to evaluate the percentage of families that carry out the recycling of their waste, therefore we used a questionnaire to the responsible liquidator. Were evaluated in the survey 617 condominiums and 62% are condominiums that perform the separation of their waste allocating them to separate collection, and 38% do not conduct the separation of waste. Much remains to be done concerning on this issue, especially as it relates to environmental education to raise awareness as the best way to dispose of their waste.
