Fotografia de arquitetura em Curitiba: espaço urbano e suas representações

Abstract

This project proposes the exploration of photographic language in order to sketch a dynamic picture of the architecture of Curitiba, focusing on the social and human interaction. Thus, based on the creation of photographic records of the city of Curitiba and later in an organization in a graphic product, we propose a representation that associates urban space and architecture to the city social dynamics. For this project, was scheduled the following methodological steps: literature review, research on representations of the Curitiba identity, photographic production and development of graphic material. The first step consisted of literature review, based on authors who deal with concepts about: photography and representation of society, architectural photography, identity of cities and their representations. From the theoretical background, was conducted the field research, consisting in analysis of visual representations of the Curitiba identity in print media (focus on newspapers) and analysis of exhibition over the city of Curitiba. Finally, from the analysis and synthesis of this information, followed the later stages, which refer to photographic production and implementation of graphic design, with the assessment of results and comparison with the initial work objectives.
