Sociofonética: uma análise acústica do /R/ em coda no dialeto curitibano

Abstract

This paper lies in the area of linguistics, specifically of sociophonetics. This area aims to analyze speech sounds and their variations due to historical, economic and social aspects. It is intended, therefore, to do an acoustic analysis of the /R/ segment, in coda position, of Curitiba (PR) dialect production. For that, two speakers from Curitiba were selected, father and son, who recorded vehicle sentences, repeated five times, text reading and a semi-spontaneous speech. Subsequently, we analyzed some acoustic parameters of the recordings, first, second and third formants, in order to describe the target segment productions for each speaker. Furthermore, we made an intraspeaker and interspeaker analysis to verify if there were phonetic variations. In this research, we consider the hypothesis of a predominance of the retroflex segment because of the proximity of the informants to people from the countryside of the state.
