Abstract

The research of this project consists of sociological and architectural investigations, as well as data collection and overlapping, in order to allow the development of the architectural project of a community space aimed at the young public, in a situation of social vulnerability in the city of Curitiba. As a result, a number of concepts related to youth issues and social vulnerability are addressed. Later, it was tried to understand how the architecture would relate to all this and how it would be able to influence positively the human behavior. Case studies from Latin America were analyzed in order to support the architectural choices, of operation and division of areas that the Community Youth Network will possess. In addition, the justification of the choice of the area of implantation was based on information gathering and mapping related to the issue of social vulnerability and lack of community spaces in the region: area of irregular occupation of the Parolin neighborhood. Finally, it is possible to make a study focused on the lands that will come to shelter community space and its potentialities in the elaboration of the project guidelines, concepts and finally the project.
