Estudo da gestão de estoque e o desempenho em uma organização de pequeno porte

Abstract

This assignment consists of a consulting in a small company - Distributor of Sweets and Cigarettes Ltda (Didoci) that operates in the market since 1985, located in the central region of Curitiba. First, a semi-structured interview with the owner and manager of the company was performed to identify how the procedures are performed within and outside the organization. The research was conducted through a “participant observation” method to provide greater integration among employees. Then, it was performed a diagnosis in the company to identify areas that require improvements. It was revealed that the company has good management, a fact proven by over 30 years of experience in the market. Therefore, it was decided that the consultancy will focus on the company's inventory management. Thus, a survey data was collected on the stock, to verify and suggest improvements in this sector, with the help of the following indicators: ABC curve, inventory turns, resupply point, safety stock and inventory level of service. Finally, with the completion of the calculations, it was suggested to the owner along with the stock manager, the improvements proposals presented in this assignment.
