Análise do efeito territorial em tempo de COVID no Distrito Federal: estudo comparativo entre o Plano Piloto e Ceilândia

Abstract

The study aims to verify the measures adopted by the Government of the Federal District, within the scope of the regional health superintendencies, regarding public policies to address the Coronavirus pandemic, from February 28, 2020, until the declaration of the end of the Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) by the World Health Organization (WHO) on May 5, 2023. The research aims to assess the effectiveness of the measures adopted by the Government of the Federal District in addressing the pandemic, considering the territorial effect. Through bibliographic research, it was investigated whether the urban planning of Brasília and the Administrative Regions of the Federal District contributed to a better quality of life for the population during that period, equally regardless of territoriality. Aligned with this proposal, it aims to investigate, through a questionnaire, the views of the regional health superintendencies and managers from the Ministry of Health in Brasília about the contribution of urban planning in Brasília to the quality of life during the period of restrictive measures due to COVID-19. It seeks to assess whether urban planning was one of the strategic tools used by the Federal District in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
