Considerações sobre sociedade e tecnologia a partir da poética e linguagem dos quadrinhos de Lourenço Mutarelli no período de 1988 a 2006

Abstract

The intent of this work is to think the connections between technology and society, the way they are presented in Lourenço Mutarelli’s comics, from 1988 to 2006. In order to build a multidisciplinary understanding of our relations with technology, theories and arguments such as: modernity, technology, art and language are presented. Also is important to think how the logic of market, the fragmentation, the excess of information, the representation mediated by technology and other aspects of modernity; all interact with the creation of cultural products (in this particular case, comic books). Finally this work contributes with the cultural debate, placing comics as a cultural product, and its relations with the diverse social, cultural and technological dimensions.
