Qualidade físico - química da água do rio Mathias Almada na cidade de Foz do Iguaçu após estação de tratamento de esgoto - ETE 8

Abstract

This study was to evaluate the quality thematic physical and chemical water Mathias Almada River in the city of Foz do Iguaçu -PR which is treated in sewage treatment plant called ETE 08 SANEPAR responsibility. The water from the treatment was compared with Class II, one upstream and the other downstream of the place cleared by the treatment. The results obtained in the determination of physicochemical parameters indicate that water treatment is within your characterization that is freshwater class II and are in compliance with the Resolution CONAMA 35. After done the comparisons it was found that the chemical oxygen demand (DQO) presents a content but low after precipitation and spent a few days the content is null, this content most likely is due to illegal connections rainwater moves directly to the sanitary sewer. This river in its extension is used by the riverside community showed normal results because it receives direct loads of pollution in their course absorbs ensuring aquatic life and human use.
