Abstract

This work presents the proposal for the development of a system of monitoring of production using the graphical programming language LabVIEW™. Aiming for greater reliability in the production data collected in a packaging factory, a system was developed able to monitor the quantities produced, as well as to register them in a database along with the automatic stop times, in order to maintain a history and generate reports more quickly and practically, directing the time of the operators to other activities inherent in the production process. To do this, we are looking for integration with a database management system, along with a client-server communication architecture, taking advantage of the production count structure already installed in the factory through a programmable logic controller. Through the developed screens, operators can conduct quick queries on the productivity of production lines, as well as confirm system records to ensure data reliability. Through the tests performed on one of the production lines, the system proved to be efficient in terms of the basic functionality proposed here and may in the future support specific improvements such as customized reporting, corporate network and remote-control environment communication. of production lines.
