Estudo sobre o atendimento básico de saúde via SUS no município de Cruzeiro do Iguaçu - Paraná

Abstract

This project aimed to obtain diagnostic information on the fuctioning of the programs offered by the Unified Health System (SUS) in the small municipalities, using the Cruzeiro do Iguaçu municipality, Southwestern Paraná, as a research model. This municipality is considered as a model because its creation is recent (1993), therefore, after the implantation of SUS, by the size of the municipality and the availability of information. For the accomplishment of the project historical, demographic, economic data and on the basic health care in the city were collected. A study was also carried out on the creation of SUS, its operation in basic health care and legislation that regulates the functioning of this system in small municipalities. The development of the project took place in three stages: the first stage was the development of an exploratory and descriptive study of basic health care in the city based on the data available in the National Registry of Health Establishments System (SCNES). In the second stage, on-site visits were made at the basic health units to survey the scope of action, programs offered and constituent teams. In step three, the data found in the surveys were compared with those recommended by applicable legislation. With the development and end of the project, it was possible to evaluate that the municipality of Cruzeiro do Iguaçu has several works of UBS. The areas in the urban zone and rural zone, being that the UBS of the zone has greater physical structure and human resources. And, the programs and services offered at night are in accordance with the standard recommended by the legislation. The data are of the SCNES in great majority with the reality of Cruzeiro do Iguaçu of UBS. Organizations that are dedicated to the development of public health and retirement plans have expanded their activities.
