Levantamento do perfil do aluno evadido do curso de licenciatura em Física da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná - Campus Curitiba

Abstract

The students drop out is an evident problem in high degree education. Among the courses most susceptible to this situation are those of a teaching physics degree, having about 60% of total drop outs in Brazil. Due this, is important to determine a profile of the students who leaves the area of teaching education. Knowing the students’ reality and the causes of this fact is essential to contribute to the proposition of politics that could reduce drop outs. The following research aims to survey what influences physics degree students at UTFPR campus Curitiba to give up, trying to determine and understand their various causes, including possible socioeconomic, structural, technical or vocational causes in terms of the local reality of these drop out students, aiming to build solutions to the particularities of this group. And in general terms, vocational aspect was identified as the main reason for drop outs.
