Ecologia de ecossistemas marinhos e a conservação de corais e fitoplâncton: possibilidades de práticas didáticas sob a perspectiva CTS

Abstract

The present work concerns about the conservation of corals and phytoplankton from the perspective of Environmental Education with a focus on Science, Technology and Society (STS). The main aim is to identify how the subject has been understood by the teachers from the state education network of Paraná and to suggest a didactic material of support that contemplates such subject from the theoretical biases of the STS Education. From the formulation of an online form we obtained answers from the Science discipline education’s professionals, whose results were discussed based on scientific and environmental education. The bibliographical and statistical analyzes revealed that many teachers have not yet worked on content from the perspective adopted in this monograph and that the main didactic source of them is the textbook, being the material of support of potential relevance to contemplate discussions that still remains lacking. It is hoped that the didactic-methodological notes of this monograph will be enriching to the practices of science teaching in the public network of Paraná.
