Percepção ambiental: um estudo de caso na bacia do rio Barigui

Abstract

The environmental perception is the way in which an individual perceives the environment, basically, the process of evaluating and storing information received about the environment, awakening care and respect with it. The environmental perception allows the establishment of affection relationships between the individual and the environment and from this positive formation the individual can modify his environmental values. Seeking an understanding about the current situation of the Barigui watershed for students from some schools located near the Barigui river, this present work, which relates physicochemical analysis of water quality and environmental perception, was developed. The results will aid future studies and the promotion of actions in order to solve the environmental problems of the region. The evaluation of the questionnaires allowed the understanding of how the students of the region interact with the environment, their affection relationships with this one and their attitudes in front the environmental issues. The interpretation of the datas also have revealed that the major part of the students perceive the environmental around, the impacts that it suffers, the causes and consciences of these damages, as well the fact that some students do not build up the worry with the environment and the impairment of water resources yet, especially the Barigui river, evidenced after comparison with the limits established by the CONAMA 357 resolution, for class II rivers, in two of the three points assessed.
