A incorporação de numeral em estruturas classificadoras de Língua Brasileira de Sinais

Abstract

This research aims to develop a morphosyntactic description of classified structures that contain numeral incorporation in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). The corpus consists of video recordings of deaf native Libras users, changed into linguistics notations. The data were analyzed through the conceptual framework of the Distributed Morphology, and the results are morphosyntactic trees that clarify the phenomenon of number incorporation in classifiers, as the position taken by these classifiers in the sentence. Such description shows that the classifiers’ array occurs first in the morphological level, where the number is incorporated, before it comes to the deep structure of the sentence.
