Do que é feito: visões de ciência e de cientista de alunos do ensino médio no desenvolvimento de uma oficina a partir de um laboratório de pesquisa

Abstract

This work on display is dedicated to investigate the views of Science and Scientist of a group of high school students and the perceptions they start to present when they participate in educational activity in research laboratory science and training environment for Science. With this purpose a workshop with four meetings with four students attending the Sala de Recursos Altas Habilidades/Superdotação, in Instituto de Educação do Paraná Erasmo Pilotto, em Curitiba-PR. The structure of the workshop provides a discussion of the topic spectroscopy, technical applications and the structure of science. In the final part of the workshop performing experiments on spectroscopy in a research lab UTFPR occurred. With activities was developed to explore new themes and discussions about Science and Scientist: form of research funding; dissemination of work in events; interaction with the scientific community; and development of almost unique methodologies for each search. A visit to the laboratory allowed contact with a research environment and with different levels of professionals working in scientific activity. Thus it was possible to present science in its place of origin and construction, providing opportunities for the vision of a dynamic and little linear process, different from those presented in the textbooks. This activity proved to be a way to approach the school's academic environment and bring students of Basic Education with activities related to the scientific field - something that can be understood as a contribution to the formation of scientific culture.
