Mapeamento das condições de desenvolvimento da ginástica artística na cidade de Curitiba/PR

Abstract

The present study sought to investigate how the artistic gymnastics is developed in the city of Curitiba/PR. In view what this sport already has represented in the city, the proposed objective was to map the infrastructure of places to practice, public financing and municipal projects developed in Curitiba. For this, a qualitative, descriptive-investigative research was carried out. It was decided to perform a semistructured interview for data collection with 6 participants were invited for the interview. The interviewees were divided in 3 artistic gymnastics coaches and 3 university professors. The data treatment took place through the content analysis proposed by Bardin. The results indicate the precariousness in the structuring of the artistic gymnastics in the city, in addition, the interviewees corroborate about the lack of infrastructure for training and initiation of the sport, and they do not see sufficient investment and financing for the development of the modality. It is concluded that the situation of the modality in the capital of the state is critical, because there are very few places for the practice of the sport, containing only one high performance training center and the other locations offer basic equipment or limited space to practice. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out further studies on the subject, seeking to map the development of gymnastics in other states, so it will be possible to outline the problem more broadly and expand support for future academic research.
