Restaurando a esperança: desenvolvimento de uma HQ para crianças em tratamento contra o câncer

Abstract

This Work Completion Course presents the creation of a comic book that contains a narrative for children between seven and twelve years who are undergoing cancer treatment. Starting that comics can act as multidisciplinary tool in order to provide teaching and learning for the reader, it explains briefly about the history of comics in many medias from its conception to the use in health campaigns; it was studied subjects such as pediatric oncology, your definition and statistical; Information about emotional child when the disease was discovered in his life, hospital treatment initiation, different people and situations; graphic design for order of text and non-text elements of the comic book, emotional design and interaction design to make a comic that would provide an enjoyable and empathic reading; observed the behavior of children in children's hospitals during treatment for information about drawing style and coloring; developed the project with the creation of script, which was later transformed into graphic narrative through the use of drawings on sulfite paper, inks art, with image treatment and coloring on computer. Finally, the comic was generated in digital print and the results of the project were presented by some children, after read the comic for the first time.
