Abstract

The Public Security is a constitutional right of the Brazilian citizen and it is up to the country government, through the municipal government in its various organs, the guarantee of the protection state and the feeling of security among citizens, so they could perform their functions in society. Nowadays, Military Police faces huge problems in fighting crime. In lack of equipment or with them in an insufficient number – mostly obsolete – combined with difficulties related to the availability of qualified effective, the preventive activity practice, one of the most efficient ways of the social order maintaining, is impaired and dysfunctional. Developing literary studies and interviews systematic analyzes, it was intended, through a design methodology, as this project result, to propose a conceptual tool for an intelligent monitoring of macro or large open events, in order to optimize and enhance public safety during its accomplishments. The main axes of this research include theoretical topics about the general concept of design (interaction and conceptual design) as well as subjects that embrace the security area (with data on violence, security sense and perception, and public safety in general – its functions and duties), national investment and incentive policies, and also wider issues about events, vehicular units and monitoring activity.
