Abstract

This project graduation of Bachelor of Design, UTFPR, features an association of the areas of design and fashion design through the methodology for the development of specific stamping for a fashion collection. The study begins with the theoretical axis presents the general concepts about fashion, their definitions and characteristics and the dynamics of this industry within the design area. We study the surface design, textile design and printing design the latter was deepened focusing on race stamping process, which was the method used to create the project including an explanation of the types of prints, module and rapport and its visual elements and repeat systems, moreover, is studied also the main industrial fabric printing processes in the method silk screen, rotary, sublimatic transfer and digital and including a table showing comparison of these four methods, their advantages and disadvantages, in order to guide the designer in defining the process. Still in the theoretical area, creating methodologies in graphic design are combined with fashion design, to create a specific method for creating prints in fashion. The practical development axis of this work describes the creation of four prints races through sublimatic transfer method to an existing fashion brand in the market, Linka, based on all the theoretical framework discussed in this paper. At this point validates the methodology created because the steps suggested by it are of utmost importance for the development of the printing project, which finally were produced and made, resulting in patterned fashion products.
