Abstract

The proper use of public resources, the transparency of government buying processes and the use of new technologies are key elements for the proper functioning of modern public administration; this Final Project aims to study the electronic bidding system for public bids. The method used for the elaboration of this study was based on bibliographical study of existing works that deal with the subject. This trading method emerged in the early 2000s as a new form of public entity make their purchases; the modality provides more flexibility and efficiency in public procurement; this combined with the greater efficiency and agility in the execution of the bidding process, made this method, especially its electronic variant, provides a easier access to information on biddings, facilitating the monitoring and control of expenditures and expenses of the public administration.
