Migração para o ambiente de contratação livre de energia: apresentação de dois casos reais

Abstract

The current model of the Energy Contracting Environment of the Brazilian Electric Sector is divided into two environments: the Regulated Contracting Environment (ACR) and the Free Contracting Environment. In the latter, the concept of free consumer emerges, who has the ability to purchase energy directly from generators or traders, generating a considerable reduction in the values of the free consumer's energy bill. The strategic relevance of the migration from the Regulated Contracting Environment to the Free Contracting Environment in the current energy scenario. The search for greater competitiveness, flexibility and reduction of operating costs has become a critical differential for large energy consumers. In this work, a contextualization will be carried out on the Brazilian Electric Sector and its related institutions, the current legislation in the Free Contracting Environment, the differences between the Regulated Contracting Environment and the Free Contracting Environment, the operation of the Free Contracting Environment along with the demonstration of the migration stages of two consumer units, where in Study 1 a consumer unit with the potential to become a free consumer will be presented and in Study 2 an economy report of a consumer unit that has already migrated and from the Regulated Contracting Environment to the Livre.Com the analysis of the case studies, it was possible to validate the migration to the Free Contracting Environment as a superior cost management strategy, proving real and consistent financial savings in excess of 20%. The main gain lies in budget predictability, as the contracting of energy at a fixed price shields the consumer from all the volatility and unpredictability of the Regulated Contracting Environment. Emphasizing that the use of incentivized energy significantly enhances this economic advantage.
