A influência histórica na composição da escrita de Conceição Evaristo: uma análise da solidão da mulher negra na ficção Olhos D’água

Abstract

When we think about racial aspects, it is impossible to defend the existence of democracy between races. The same can be said if the thought is destined to genres, there is no social equality between man and women. Nevertheless, there is something in common in their relationships: the action to subdue and downgrade black women. Society imposes stereotypes for these women, which constitute a structural cycle for this group, resulting in the individual loneliness. These seeds were germinated during the slavery period and had their branches fortified throughout the years when these stereotypes were strengthened. Literature was one of the sources used for this spread, which emerged with a higher frequency from White authors. Conceição Evaristo is one of the main Brazilian authors that faces the structural cycle imposed on the black woman at the same time as she fights to disrupt the stereotypes. Her <escrevivência= (writing experience) shows the world what it is to be a black woman. Through the reading of <Olhos D’água=, winner of Jabuti prize, Conceição demonstrates mostly the life of different women, showing not only their pains, but also the hope that surrounds this parcel of population. With that in mind, it is possible to perform a historical connection between the black woman and her status on national territory and the consequences generated by current livings of these women, as well as the challenges they face to break this society stablished barrier. Not only that, but also making a snippet for the different loneliness environments that the Conceição Evaristo’s narrated women have. For that, it is necessary to analyze the representation of black characters written by other authors, as well as notions of several spheres of what loneliness is.
