Identificação do estágio da gestão da qualidade no setor madeireiro

Abstract

The productive chain of wood takes an outstanding position in Brazil, being one sector of relevance even in economic and social aspects, such as the representative in the balance of trade, the development of PIB, the generation of job and income. At this way, to continuous in this outstanding position in the market of tough competition is necessary to the sector to suffer transformations in the way of thinking and acting in the productive process and in the company as a whole. What involves the improvement of many practices, inside which could be say the management of quality. In this context, this study tried to identify the management phase of quality present in the companies, from wood industry, located in the state of Parana. The research could be considered as descriptive, setting up kind. As a procedure of data collection, it was used the interrogation technique, like questionnaires. By analyses from results it was notice that in this sector there are companies in many levels of Quality Management, just like those that depend, specially of statistic control of process, others that are find in an intermediate level, which involves the control of process and the guarantee of the product quality and companies in a more evoluted level that give focus of quality incorporated in the process, decreasing, of this way, the necessity of efforts in inspection or in control.
