Centro de cultura polonesa em Virmond - PR

Abstract

This research seeks to explore Polish culture in the municipality of Virmond, in the interior of the state of Paraná, the city has a great tourist and cultural potential that can be explored through the promotion and encouragement of local culture. For this, a reference research was carried out in relation to the history of Polish immigration, starting from the macro scale until reaching the micro scale, and also how the former colony Amola Faca emerged and became the municipality of Virmond. Still in the referential research, an in-depth study was carried out on the emergence and function of cultural centers throughout history, in addition to emphasizing the importance of access to culture for social development and the differential potential of tourism. The research also addresses the main aspects of Polish architecture and its application by Polish immigrants in Brazil. In this project research, some architectural works that have affinity with the topic to be studied are referenced and/or analyzed. This research will be used to support the preparation of a preliminary project for a Polish Culture Center that will be the project response suggested to foster and stimulate culture Polish in Virmond. In order to guide the correct design of the project, an analysis of the municipality, the local population profile and the area of intervention was carried out, observing the possible potentialities and conditions of the location. Finally, the initial guidelines for carrying out the proposal are presented.
