Abstract

The present study deals with the nature of the artificer activity from Antiquity to the present day, highlighting the importance of the craft throughout the centuries present in the history of mankind, being an activity that promotes autonomy and at the same time provides pleasure in the accomplishment of his work. Rewarding to the craftsman and useful for the survival of countless generations. Therefore, the artificer activity promotes autonomy for the artisans and at the same time the other, thus existing the physics of the work with the author and with the others. It can be noted in the course of the study the changes that occurred in the artificer activity, since Antiquity, passing through the Middle Ages, Modern and Contemporary. In this way, the craftsman or artisan moves from exchange to survival, and goes to the capitalist universe and its implications. Finally, there is the management of artisanal work, where the craftsman experiences the dissemination, commercialization of his work. The management of the work of craftsman is paramount in the capitalist context, emphasizing that this is a challenge for the artisan and / or craftsman today. In carrying out this work, a bibliographic review had been used, and só scientific works that dealt with the subject were sought, for argumentation and analysis. The literature review highlighted the new forms of works in organizations, since there is dissatisfaction with the profession for certain people seeking alternative forms of work, with the support of NGOs and other related groups. With the rise of the internet, artistic activities and cultures may have their material popularized, including the activity of artisans. Social media become the main means for linking and marketing artisan works in different regions and / or countries. Finally, it can be said that the artificer activity in Antiquity, as well as today, preserves its relevance, and deserves further studies.
