| Resumo: | O estudo do comportamento dos animais em pista e sua possível influência na decisão de compra, assim como no número de lances dados, torna-se mais uma ferramenta que o comprador tem em mãos, uma vez que o comportamento animal está relacionado a diversos fatores produtivos, e quando afetado poderá o animal deixar de desempenhar seu potencial produtivo. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar o comportamento de bezerros em pista no momento do leilão e sua possível influência na decisão de compra do produtor. O trabalho foi realizado na região sudoeste do Paraná em leilões do grupo PAMPA REMATES. Foram avaliados bezerros de até 12 meses das raças britânicas e suas cruzas, continentais e suas cruzas e zebuínas e suas cruzas. Foi avaliado o temperamento do animal em pista, o tempo de permanência do animal em pista, a posição do redemoinho dos pelos faciais dos animais, registro da quantidade de lances dado ao lote, e serão correlacionados a quantidade de lances com o tempo do animal em pista e o seu comportamento. Verificou-se que vários fatores influenciam os preços dos bezerros vendidos em leilão no Sudoeste do Paraná. Em conclusão, os resultados sugerem que nos leilões realizados nas cidades de Pato Branco, Francisco Beltrão e Dois Vizinhos os tamanhos dos lotes são ao redor de 12 animais, com idade de 8,5 meses; em Pato Branco e Dois Vizinhos em que os lotes são maiores e mais pesados, 220 e 208 Kg de média, respectivamente, os valores por Kg são mais altos do que em Francisco Beltrão. A presença ou não de redemoinho não deve ser levada em consideração pelo criador de bezerros, pois isso não afeta de forma significativa seu comportamento e sua valorização nas pistas de leilão. Os leilões online devem ser cada vez mais usados como modalidade, pois o tempo de permanência em pista é 3 vezes maior, há mais lances e os valores alcançados são bem superiores aos leilões presenciais. Na Região Sudoeste do Paraná o produtor de bezerros que visa maior receita por Kg de bezerro vendido em leilão, deve procurar criar continentais e suas cruzas ou britânicos e suas cruzas, do que zebuínos e suas cruzas ou lotes de cruzamento industrial inespecífico. |
| Abstract: | The study of animal behavior on the auction’s track and its possible influence on the purchase decision, as well as on the number of bids given, becomes another tool that the buyer has at hand, since animal behavior is related to several productive factors. The objective of this study was to evaluate the behavior of calves in the ring at the time of the auction and its possible influence on the producer's purchase decision. The work was carried out in the southwest region of Paraná in auctions of the Pampa Remates group. Calves aged up to 12 months of British breeds and their crosses, Continental breeds and their crosses, and Zebu breeds and their crosses and industrial crosses were evaluated. The animal's temperament and time spent on the track, the position of the swirl of the animals' facial hair, recording of the number of throws given to the lot, and the correlation between the number of throws and the time of the animal on the track and its behavior were evaluated. It was found that several factors influence the prices of calves sold at auction in Southwest Paraná. In conclusion, the results suggest that in the auctions held in the cities of Pato Branco, Francisco Beltrão and Dois Vizinhos, the lot sizes are around 12 animals, aged 8.5 months; in Pato Branco and Dois Vizinhos, where the lots were larger and heavier, 220 and 208 kg on average, respectively, the values per kg where higher than in Francisco Beltrão. The presence of swirl should not be taken into account by the calf breeder, as it does not significantly affect their behavior and their valuation in the auction lanes. Online auctions should be increasingly used as a modality, despite the time spent on the track being 3 times longer and the number of bids are much higher than face-to-face auctions. In the Southwest Region of Paraná, the calf producer who aims at greater revenue per Kg of calf sold at auction, should try to create continental and their crosses or British and their crosses and zebu and their crosses, rather than unspecific industrial crossing. |
