| Resumo: | O presente estudo teve por objetivo diagnosticar o conhecimento e a expectativa da comunidade acadêmica externa, quanto aos cursos superiores oferecidos na IES pública de Medianeira. Este trabalho foi realizado através de uma pesquisa de campo, exploratória, descritiva e quantitativa que se deu através da entrevista estruturada realizada nas cidades de Medianeira, Matelândia, Missal, São Miguel e Serranópolis. Durante a entrevista, a população respondeu perguntas relacionadas a natureza da IES de Medianeira e também sobre seu interesse por cursos ofertados atualmente e possíveis cursos novos. Com essa pesquisa, foi possível perceber que boa parte da população ainda não conhece a essência da IES pública de Medianeira e não tem grande interesse pelos cursos oferecidos. Em relação ao interesse por novos cursos, agronomia e administração foram os que receberam mais destaque durante a pesquisa. Sendo assim, foi possível perceber que existe ainda uma lacuna entre a universidade e a população. Um esforço para relacionar o conhecimento que a universidade pode passar, com o trabalho realizado na região, aliado com uma propaganda assertiva pode ajudar na correção deste problema. |
| Abstract: | This study aimed to diagnose the knowledge and expectations of the external academic community regarding the higher education courses offered at the public higher education institution in Medianeira. This work was carried out through field research, exploratory, descriptive and quantitative that took place through structured interviews carried out in the cities of Medianeira, Matelândia, Missal, São Miguel and Serranópolis. During the interview, the population answered questions related to the nature of the public higher education institution in Medianeira, and also about their interest in courses currently offered and possible new courses. With this research, it was possible to realize that a large part of the population still does not know the essence of the public higher education institution in Medianeira and is not very interested in the courses offered. Regarding the interest in new courses, agronomy and administration were the ones that received the most attention during the research. Thus, it was possible to perceive that there is still a gap between the university and the population. An effort to relate the knowledge that the university can pass on to the work carried out in the region, combined with assertive advertising can help to correct this problem. |
