Análise de ecologias de artefatos digitais e não digitais sob a perspectiva da inclusão de estudantes com deficiência na universidade

Abstract

The permanence of students with disabilities in Higher Education is a contemporary issue. An example can be seen at the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR), where quotas for people with disabilities only started to exist in the second half of 2017. It is necessary to provide conditions for everyone to have access to quality education, regardless of their characteristics and needs. Artifact Ecology is an approach that investigates the perceptions and values that people relate to a set of digital and non-digital artifacts in the context of a given activity. This work seeks to evaluate how this approach can be used to analyze the consequences that the artifacts, used by students with disabilities to communicate with the university, have about their permanence in Higher Education from the perspective of inclusion. For that, data collection was carried out with people with disabilities, through a questionnaire. The data analysis consisted of creating graphic representations of ecologies, both individual and collective, this also involved extending the representations of existing ecologies, in order to represent aspects related to inclusion. From the representations created with the artifact ecologies, it was possible to identify accessibility problems related to communication between teachers and students with disabilities in higher education.
