Elaboração de um software para ensino de trocadores de calor duplo tubo

Abstract

Heat exchangers are equipment widely used in industry and are of great importance in terms of heat transfer. In view of this, companies have been seeking qualified professionals in the area to develop new ways of optimizing processes and reducing their operating costs. Addressing the newly graduated engineering professional, it is essential to familiarize him with computer programs that have the capacity to solve problems that may occur in the daily life of the industry on the subject. This work aims to present an intuitive software, as a teaching tool, where there will be a simpler and clearer approach on double tube heat exchangers. Regarding the software, it was developed in the Python programming language, has intuitive and informative windows, a step-by-step methodology regarding the mathematical modeling of parallel and opposite currents, graphs that relate the temperature of the fluids and the length of the equipment and tables with answers to the applications that the user can select in the program, whether they are finding fluid outlet temperatures and the ideal length. All the software was developed thinking about the student who might come to study the subject in some discipline of the engineering course, being able to simulate processes and solve exercises on the subject. For this, three tests were carried out in this work where it was possible to prove the efficiency of the developed software, which can be easily used by engineering students for a better understanding of the double tube heat exchangers.
