Abstract

The Criminal Forensics, an area of great importance for the judicial process, is charged with carrying out examinations to clarify criminal facts. The Vehicle Identification exam, performed by forensic experts, is one of the great demands in criminalistics. Using handwritten means by forensic experts still common for taking notes, despite the popularization of mobile devices. In addition, digitalizing daily processes has been a reality for years in most areas. Therefore, the present work proposes to develop a system for data collection during Vehicle Identification exams. This way, seeking to optimize the manual process currently used by forensics experts. The proposed solution consists in a mobile application for data collection, a web application capable of generating reports, and a server-side API that united aim to replace current handwritten process, optimize working time and avoid problems resulting from loss of information. Finally, it is intended to facilitate the generation of reports from digitally collected data.
