Sinalização e itens de segurança para melhoria da trilha ecológica da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná Câmpus Dois Vizinhos

Abstract

Ecological trails are spaces and geographical paths of great historical, cultural and environmental importance. However, studies that cover adequate planning in relation to the construction of these trails are scarce, especially in terms of the safety of their visitors. Thus, the present work aimed to evaluate and recommend improvements in the ecological trail of UTFPR-DV using safety structures and signage. The work was carried out on the ecological trail located at the Federal Technological University of Paraná –Câmpus Dois Vizinhos. Inspections were carried out on the trail, in order to obtain a survey of possible risks using the Preliminary Risk Analysis (APR) methodology, as well as photographic records of places that may cause accidents. The signage recommendation was based on the document of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio) and safety standards. For safety structure recommendations, regulatory standards (NRs) 26 of “Signaling” and NR 18 “Working Conditions and Environment in the Construction Industry” were taken as a basis. A total of 33 points were marked on the trail and proposals for safety structures such as guardrails, stairs, bridges, signposts and rest benches were made. In total, 6 events were identified that can cause risk of accidents to visitors of the trail, namely: 1 visitor fall, 2 twist, 3 slip, 4 tree fall, 5 venomous animal bite, 6 visitor fall with level difference . From these possible events, their frequency, severity and risk were determined. The ecological trail of the Dois Vizinhos Câmpus needs greater attention from the university in terms of revitalizing its paths and its safety, thinking about its visitors, as it is a place where there is a constant flow of students and servers, where numerous activities.
