Abstract

An effective Production Planning and Control requires that its stages are considerate and validated until the final process. In this regard, this works aims to validate the implementation of production control and improvements in the production planning process, in the tube sector in a paper converting industry located in Londrina, Parana, using the PCP tools and continuous improvement. For that, the methodological approach used was quantitative research, seeking to evaluate the current process and compare data from performance indicators, stock levels and delivery times before and after the implementation of production control. From the results obtained, the new flowchart promoted an accurate knowledge of the production process, which was of great importance for better assertiveness in the proposals of improvements for the optimization of the process, developing its performance and way of working. The application of Kanban systems for movement and stock was also considered, which added high value to the results obtained.
