Aplicação da metodologia lean seis sigma em processos de importação de medicamentos

Abstract

This academic work describes the application of Lean Six Sigma methodology in import processes of pharmaceutical supplies and medicines in a multinational industry of this sector. The approach occurs through the management of the activities with DMAIC tool, and through the application of Lean Six Sigma methodology techniques, as Ishikawa Diagram – Fishbone Diagram-, Control Charts, and so on. The goal is to eliminate nonvalue added steps to the import flow. Consequentially, a Lean workflow has been defined, leading to shorter time frames for customs clearance conclusion after good arrival in the country, and correlated less costly logistic activities, such as reduced storage costs at the port.
