Abstract

This paper discusses the importance of the design of a compressed air network. It displays the compressed air as an energy source indispensable for the industrial sector, citing its advantages and disadvantages and emphasizes the importance of their treatment. It also cites the important items to be considered in a compressed air; of the main air line project; the distribution line; the service line and accessories; the choice of pipe material, the allowable pressure drops and determining the appropriate size of the pipe. From this, explains the problems encountered in the compressed air network company of Northem graphic branch of Parana and shows how poorly designed and undersized network may encumber the company. Then presents the design of the design of a compressed air system, which can reduce the costs generated by this form of energy and provide reliable compressed air, pressure, flow and quality required by the company.
