Aplicação da linha de balanço com ritmo fixo para o planejamento e gestão de obras de infraestrutura urbana

Abstract

Evidence shows that the construction industry impacts directly economic indexes such as the GDP, especially in emerging economies. Research shows that the Line of Balance is a concept that has been studied for more than thirty years, but just recently has been associated with lean construction. With the purpose to analyze and compare planning models to schedule the execution of an urban development project, the paper refers a catalogue of authors that have already studied this subject, presents the schedule in Gannt and with the line of balance and show those concepts applied to a case study. In this sense, Line of Balance is capable to assist this demand from worksites and the academic community, só this paper aims to aid its readers bringing a case study to apply the method in this segment of the construction industry and displays that combining both methods to plan the construction is able to give significant collaboration to the outcome reducing deadlines.
