Unificação dos processos de separação de materiais e setup externo em componentes SMD

Abstract

With the vast diversity of products that electronic manufacturing companies have for their customers, waste in labor, equipment, and space generates costs that can affect their ompetitiveness. The present monograph work aims to apply Lean Manufacturing tools to reduce rework in the setup process, organize physical separations, and reduce inventory in production. The work was developed in a company located in the southwest of Paraná state, focusing on Lean Manufacturing concepts for waste reduction and development of continuous flow between SMD warehouse and SMT production processes. Results obtained with the execution of this work stand out: elimination of rework by avoiding the search for the desired material inside the box containing several different items, eliminating the checking of the material with the technical sheet, a gain of up to 12% of the area in the productive sector, and stock with buffer reduction. The 46% reduction in cycle time from process start to production order close.
