Implantação do SUAS - Sistema Único de Assistência Social: um estudo de caso do município de Joaçaba - SC

Abstract

The number of people in social vulnerability in Brazil has increased gradually in recent years and, with this escalation, according to data from Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE, another number that rises is the percentage of poverty in the country. The objective of this work was to identify the implementation of the Unified Social Assistance System in Joaçaba’s city in Santa Catarina state. To meet the research objective, documentary research and interview were conducted with the city’s Social Assistance manager. It was verified through this study that the Unified Social Assistance System is consolidated according to the norms of the National Social Assistance Policy. And it is suggested actions that allow the inclusion and empowerment of users that enable them to get out of poverty, family conflicts or some type of violence. These actions can be thought of together with the other public policies implemented in Joaçaba/SC.
