Estudo para utilização de containers como material para construção de casas para população de baixa renda em Toledo/PR

Abstract

The housing deficit is an issue faced by most Brazilian municipalities. Civil engineering specialists are developing building techniques that help to mitigate social problems like this and one of these techniques is the container building system. Thus, the present work had the goal of studying the use of containers as material for construction of housing of social interest in the city of Toledo/PR. For this purpose, a survey was developed and carried out in Toledo’s urban area, by interviewing people who ranked within the definitions of housing deficit of the João Pinheiro Institute. So, the acceptance of the container as a constructive material was confirmed by 46% of respondents. A literature review was also carried out in order to present parameters for the feasibility of housing made of container for low-income people. Hence, it is possible to affirm that most of the interviewees rejected this constructive solution. Therefore, the literature suggests that there is a possibility of convincement of the interviewed population for the acceptance of this type of construction by a campaign of convincing. To do so, a proposal of design that meets the conditions set by NBRs and that takes into account improvements proposed by several specialists in this field of study may be relevant in a possible persuasion of future stakeholders of this constructive solution.
