Incubadoras de empresas e suas contribuições para o desenvolvimento econômico e tecnológico

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the contributions of incubators for economic and technological development. Was carried out a literature search to identify how this occurs. Was analyzed as micro and small businesses, entrepreneurship and the interaction between university-business-government, in the environment of the incubators, contribute to the economic and technological development. It was also considered in this research, successful cases of companies that went through the incubators and companies have become solid. As a result it was possible to observe that micro and small business are vital to the economy and are in incubators support to start their projects and remain competitive. It was found that entrepreneurs are essential for development there, because are individuals who have innovative ideas and find space to apply them in incubators. Regarding the interaction between university-industry-government became apparent the need for cooperation between these agents for technology transfer to occur. Finally, it was found that business incubators contribute to economic development, because they generate income, taxes and create jobs for the region where they are installed. Furthermore, business incubators are environments favorable to innovation and technological development.
