O panorama atual dos acidentes de trabalho na construção: uma análise a partir do anuário estatístico da previdência social - triênio 2013 a 2015

Abstract

The construction industry employs 8.58% of the country's employed population and generates 6.1% of GDP, being of great importance for the social and economic development of the country. Due to its social and economic importance, it is important to analyze the behavior of work accidents in civil construction. This descriptive and qualitative approach study aims to identify the latest indexes of work accidents made available in the Statistical Yearbook of Social Security that relate to the triennium 2013, 2014 and 2015, comparing regions and states of the country, with emphasis on the fraction corresponding to accidents in the branch of construction. More than two million accidents were identified and a reduction of 15.58% in the period analyzed. The region with the highest absolute number of accidents was the Southeast and the lowest was the North. However, after calculation that identified the accidents for every 1,000 Social Security taxpayers, the South region had the highest index and the Northeast region the lowest. The activity with the greatest number of accidents was the construction of buildings.
