Evasão universitária nos cursos de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas da Universidade Federal de São Paulo - UNIFESP

Abstract

This work had as thematic the university dropout in Applied Social Sciences undergraduates courses (Administration, Actuarial Science, Science Accounting, Economics and International Relations) offered by Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP the Paulista School of Policy, Economics and Business / Eppen - Osasco campus. The study found the percentage of avoidance per shift and term, the socioeconomic profile of the dropouts and the reasons cited as determinants of noncompliance. We found that most students leave the courses in the 1nd term and the main causes were identified by dropouts ticket in other educational institutions, expectations of the course is not reached and private, family and health problems. In the questionnaires cancellation of registration filed with the academic department on campus Osasco, the percentage of students who reported financial problems as motivation for dropping the courses is low.
