Análise sobre a evasão no Programa Federal do MEC “Projovem Urbano” no Município de Jandira

Abstract

This research presents an analysis of the loss in the Federal MEC Program " Urban Projovem " that occurred in Jandira municipality in the Greater São Paulo. Under the responsibility of the Presidency , the Projovem Urban program was developed and their primary purpose is to promote the social inclusion of young Brazilians 18-29 years , although literate , have not finished elementary school. Although the program attract the interest of many young people, the withdrawal and avoidance that occur throughout the program has a very high rate , becoming a research subject of this monograph . This work aims to understand the causes that led about 90 % of students enrolled to give up the course , trying to establish possible patterns among young dropouts and those who managed to complete the course. Based on the data obtained through interviews questionnaires acquired data were tabulated for understanding major cause of evasion. The tabulated data refer to the initial level of education of each student, the situation socio economic , gender and nationality . Of key data obtained in the research realizes that the main reason for avoidance is related to entering the job market because it was found that about 80 % of dropouts left the course for entering the world of work , becoming this is the main cause that led the first edition of urban Projovem to failure in the city of Jandira SP.
